The 'Stockade' is an enclosure bounded by strong wooden posts as continuous fencing, with a stout timber log constructed 'Blockade,' a hut inside the perimeter fencing, equipped with gun ports as windows - located on Skeleton Island in the Caribbean Sea.

 

It is a stronghold, designed to withstand attacks from intruders armed with pistols and muskets, as well as providing shelter and warmth from a fire, with storage for food and water.

Treasure Island was written by Robert Louis Stevenson, becoming an instant hit, popular with children and adults, the subject of many films and graphic novels.
